I cut the mesh off the top, now I will have to get the top portion altered to fit a little better, but this dress is absolutely beautiful and stitched so well and the sequins are beautifully placed. This is high quality work. Absolutely love it. I ordered up a size to16 but I probably could have ordered14, especially since the fabric does have some stretch to it and the top portion was very large after removing the mesh. I’m thrilled with this find.I purchased this dress in gold to wear to an upcoming roaring 20’s fundraiser where I am host. I was nervous for sizing as the size chart on Amazon was different than the seller dress picture size chart. I am athletic build and have a small waist and larger hips and chest. I am typically a size 8 pant and Medium shirt. Amazon recommended I purchase a size 10 dress. I did measurements and according to the company picture I would have needed a 14. I put some trust in Amazons recommendation and purchased the size 10 and am glad I did. It fits great. The material is nice and heavier than I had imagined. It seemed to be a little scratchy under the arms but I will make it work for a 5 hour event.I'm 5'6", 115-120 lb, 30d bra. I measured and came out between a 2 and 4 - 4 for waist and hips, 2 for bust. I am normally a 0, but I followed the chart and recommendations and ordered a 4. Sure enough, the 4 fits perfectly in the waist and pretty well in the hips (might have been able to go a little smaller there), and is definitely loose in the torso. I probably could have squeezed into a 2, but it would have been super tight on my waist. And yes, the dress has *no* stretch, especially in the torso and waist, so there isn't any leeway there.I ordered the Royal Blue and the color is rich and vibrant and the sparkle from the sequins is amazing. The sequins are small and don't look cheap to me. The dress looks even better in person than I had expected, and the quality is definitely great for the price.My main complaints are the mesh and zipper.Mesh: There's just so much of the mesh up around the chest, neck and back, and it's a course mesh. It just looks odd to me, especially since it's a little lighter than my tan brown skin. My plan is to get it altered to reduce the mesh, but the necklace part is super cool looking and really adds to the dress, so I'm trying to decide exactly what to do. I have a couple ideas, but we'll see what a tailor says.Zipper: The zipper is *really* hard to get up and down, even when the dress is just lieing on my bed, because the sequins come right up to the zipper area and squeeze in on it's movement. It's worth it because it looks nice once the zipper is up - there's no gap in the sequin work where the zipper is - but be prepared to really work at it to get it up and down (possibly have someone help you get into it). Because the zipper is a fine dress zipper, I was really nervous about breaking it the first couple of times I pulled the zipper up and down. (It does seem to get a little easier every time, so maybe the trick is to do up and down a few times before trying it on?)Gorgeous dress and definitely worth the price!EDIT: I ALSO BOUGHT THIS DRESS IN WHITE AND WORE IT FOR MY WEDDING! I ordered the "gold" and it is absolutely GORGEOUS. It was worth every penny! While I have purchased some other clothing items on Amazon before, this was the first time I purchased a formal dress - and I was so worried. But I saw all the positive reviews and customer photos and thought I'd take a chance - and I am so glad I did! Not only does it seem well-made, but it's actually heavy (in a good way)! This is not cheap, flimsy material that feels like a Halloween costume from Walmart - it's got some weight and some substance to it! The detail is impeccable, the shine is brilliant, the fit is amazing! Talk about hugging you in all the right places! I showed some pictures to my friend and she was like "don't ever take that dress off. Wear it for the rest of your life." I have another one on the way (one of the white ones). A few notes: This dress is not stretchy, but it isn't uncomfortable, in my opinion. I'm not sure that you'd be able to do any serious dancing in it (aside from slow dancing) - but if you're just trying to look amazing and aren't planning on "getting down" - this may be the dress for you. I used the size chart in the pictures - not the Amazon size chart. I measured my bust, waist, and hips and used my hip measurement because it's the widest of all 3. This caused me to have to go up about 2 dress sizes (I'm normally about an 8 and I ordered a 12) - it fits me perfectly EXCEPT I will have to get the waist taken in (but I was expecting this - I always have to get my waist taken in). Ladies, if you're on the fence, I'm here to push you off it! BUY THIS DRESS! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!Dress runs small. I usually wear a 10 - 12 but had to order a 14. 8 liked the color and the look but the fabric was too itchy and the dress was heavy.This dress was perfect! There's a little pocket of fabric in the back that hopefully the cleaners can steam out. I took to the cleaners to get cut at the bottom a little so that I can walk. I ordered on November 13 and recieved November 27th so if you have a gala make sure you order ahead of time.
