I normally wear a large or extra large in major brands (Lands End, etc.) so when I ordedr this caftan, I ordered it in a size 2X. I tried it on the next day and was disappointed to find that a 2X was a bit too small. Not tight, but uncomfortably small. I really liked this caftan. The fabric isn't as soft as I was hoping it would be, and it definitely needed hemming. But the major problem I had was that it had been worn and returned by another buyer. Lots of wrinkles and folds. Most of the stores I frequent mark down returned items. Suffice it to say, I am returning it for a larger size, and, hopefully, a "fresh" caftan will be at my door soon.Pleased with the purchase, the price was right!It has that neat designer look, for that price it's a good buy.Only thing weird is the placement of those baggy bulges on the sides. They land in an unflattering level...like having massive saddlebags lol. I have narrow boy hips so it makes me laugh. I'll tailor that in to be a smooth line which is very very flattering then.Fabric - fairly scratchy to be sure. Not terrible, and once washed I'm sure it'll soften more so don't take this too strongly. It is linen.Size - totally right. Rare for amazon dresses, but yeah, I'm 5'7" 138 and a small fits well. (I'm typically a medium or small dress size, an 8 usually - it's my broad shoulders and height that slip me into medium sometimes). These shoulders are a touch snug but I can stretch them while it's wet. Being a bulky design I always err as small as I can, so small it is.Color - no, that pic is def NOT the dolor of the dress. Add 50% medium blue to that color and then you have what this is. I buy lots of greens (have green eyes), this is out of my box being teal. A muted, dark-ish teal. Nice, but I suspect they sell more showing it as green..that color is a bit nicer then this. Still, it's $20 bucks, and a good buy for that.I am 5’2’ , 210 Ibs my normal size : tops- 20-22, XL and sometimes 2xl depending on the cut . Bottom- size 18 or XL . I ordered this dress in a 2XL. Honest review: I love it ! I love how it looks on me . The cut of the dress is very feminine. Because i am plus size I feared that I would look like A hamper but it shows my curves and the pockets actually give an illusion that my hips are wider ( which I love) I will say i have fat arms so its a little snug in the sleeves and also a little tiny bit snug in the breast area. So for women 210-220IBS , Bra size larger than a D-cup with chubby arms like mine - you might wanna try a 3XL just to have more room in the chest and arm area. Be mindful i tried this one right out if the package and I haven’t washed it yet so im not sure with a wash and wearing it few times if those area will sketch and create more room. But if you are my size but have less arm fat and smaller breast this might fit just right. The material is a bit cheap but still breathable. This isn’t a dress Id wear too often. It seems like its a bit easy to tear but then again if it fits loosely ( back, chest and arm areas) you might not have anything to worry about. In conclusion, I love it! Of course some are from other venders but no compare to the quality of this lovely piece. Initially, I was a little apprehensive about wearing it. I thought others would see it as Moo-Mooish! I brought it along for a party outta town. I through it on after my shower before getting dressed in my intended outfit. (I always, always wear a pair of black leggings under it!) I got so many compliments I decide this was the outfit for my cousin 60th Birf’day party! It was truly a hit! The open color snatches other’s attention as well as the uniqueness of it! My braided Mohawk made it perfect! Every time I’ve worn it I’ve received constant compliments! It’s a must have for a variety occasions! SHAPE WEAR IS NOT REQUIRED! Your body can relax and be free… I will purchase the entire collection of them!Yes and yes, again.I originally purchased this as costume for a party and didn’t have high expectations. I was presently surprised when the item arrived. Not only did it fit the way a kaftan should, but also the fabric wasn’t scratchy or stiff. While it is not my usual style, I think it will make a great beach coverup.Fabric just a tad too thick. Good winter caftan.
